B&C Gives Back:

We are firm believers in pouring back into our community and this has truly been a successful year of giving back. We take great pride in helping and servicing the CSRA; It’s our way of showing that we care. In 2021, we teamed up with local and non-profit organizations such as: United Way, Children’s Hospital of Georgia, The Golden Harvest Table, Salvation Army, and other charities to raise money. All donations were used to help fund resources for our local families in need.

Stuff the Bus

Throughout the summer, B&C collected backpacks and school supplies to help kids who need it the most in the CSRA. Our goal was to provide these children with the supplies they will need to succeed in the classroom.

Harvest Food Bank- PBJ Drive

In October, Blanchard and Calhoun rallied the agents, staff, family and friends to bring in Peanut Butter and Jelly to donate to the Spooky To Be Hungry campaign sponsored by The Golden Harvest Food Bank. Together, we collected over 1,239 lbs of PB&J! To make things more interesting, we held a contest to see which B&C office could bring in the most donations and then arrange those food items into a fun display.

 United Way: Chili- Cook Off

In November, B&C gathered teams of agents to participate in a Chili-Cook off. Tasters took samples of each dish, decided on the winner and then donated money to their favorite pot of chili. Each dollar was equivalent to one vote and the chili with the most votes won!

The chili-cook off was not only fun but we raised $10,000! All proceeds were donated to United Way, a non-profit organization, which helps people who are in need of financial assistance and/or resources.

Bell-Ringing

Blanchard and Calhoun staff and agents teamed up over the Holidays to volunteer as  bell-ringers. Did you know that all the money collected in that infamous red kettle goes right back into our community? The donations are used for resources and financial assistance for those who are in need.

Cares for Kids Radiothon- Children’s Hospital of GA

In December, B&C volunteered to answer phones at Cares for Kids Radiothon and take pledged donations. Every penny of the funds raised during the charity event will stay local and support the programs, equipment and services at The Children’s Hospital of Georgia at the Augusta University Medical Center.

 Adopt a Family-Child Enrichment Program

For Christmas this year the staff adopted 15 kids through the Child Enrichment program. The children gifted are from different backgrounds, races, religious beliefs, and experiences. Child Enrichment provides distinct service programs within their organization, which are designed to meet the varied needs of abused children. These programs are The Child Advocacy Center and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program.

 Gift-Wrapping Booth

For the Holidays, B&C offered a gift-wrapping booth to raise money for United Way. United Way works with over 40 different programs that provide local resources for those in need.

 Ft. Gordon Christmas House

For over 50 years, Fort Gordon has partnered with Christmas House to collect and donate new toys to military families and provide holiday meals.  And B&C helps out by collecting toys to help with the cause.

Blanchard and Calhoun gives back all through the year, every year. We are truly dedicated to serving our community. We are committed to providing excellent services, nurturing partnerships, volunteering where needed and raising money to fund resources for our locals.

If your office is looking for opportunities the entire work-family can do together, check out some of the charities mentioned above and see which organization is the right fit for your team. Volunteering together not only makes our community stronger but it also  strengthens colleague relationships.
